Songkran Festival 2026Record an activity during Songkran Festival, April 13-15, 2026.
It's time – the Songkran Festival 2026 has started, and so has the Garmin badge window. From April 13 to 15, 2026, you can earn this year's Songkran badge by recording any activity in Garmin Connect. You have exactly 3 days – starting right now.
What Is Songkran?
Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year celebration, observed every year from April 13 to 15. It's one of the most beloved festivals in Southeast Asia – and one of the most spectacular.
The name Songkran comes from Sanskrit and refers to the sun's transition into a new zodiac sign. Traditionally, water is gently poured over Buddha statues and elders as a gesture of respect, cleansing, and renewal. Over the decades, this ritual has evolved into the world-famous Songkran water festival – where entire cities like Bangkok and Chiang Mai turn into one giant, joyful water fight for three days straight.
Millions of locals and tourists come together in the streets, soaking each other as a symbol of washing away the old year and welcoming the new. It's loud, colorful, communal – and completely irresistible.
The Badge: Record Any Activity
Getting the Songkran badge couldn't be simpler:
- Record any activity in Garmin Connect between April 13 and April 15, 2026
- That's it – a walk, a run, a bike ride, a swim, anything counts
No minimum distance, no specific activity type. Just move at some point during the festival window.
