Love Trails 5K & 10K 2026 Badges – How to Get Them

Love Trails 5K & 10K 2026 Badges – How to Get Them

The Garmin 10K and 5K races at the Love Trails Festival in Gower, Wales happen this weekend. Not at the festival? You can also earn both badges by importing an activity file – here's how, including the caveats you should know about.

This weekend the Love Trails Festival takes over the Gower Peninsula in Wales – and Garmin brings two event badges along: the OFFICIAL Garmin 10K on July 4, 2026 and the Love Trails 5K on July 5, 2026. Complete the matching distance and the badge lands in your Garmin Connect collection.

What is Love Trails?

Love Trails is Europe's biggest trail running festival – a whole weekend of trail races, music, and community on the coast of Gower, Wales. Garmin is the official partner and sponsors dedicated badges for the races.

Option 1: Run it in person

The honest way: sign up for the festival, run the 10K or 5K distance, and record the activity with your Garmin watch. The badge is credited automatically afterwards.

Option 2: Import an activity file

Not in Wales? There's a second route: upload an edited activity file of the respective race to Garmin Connect.

👉 Download the 10K FIT file – trail run dated July 4, 2026, 10.2 km in 59:31

👉 Download the 5K FIT file – trail run dated July 5, 2026, 5.1 km in 25:19

Both files match the respective badge criteria – feel free to upload both.

How to import the files

  1. Open the Garmin Connect website in your browser (not the app)
  2. Click the small cloud icon with an arrow in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Import Data"
  4. Upload the downloaded FIT file
  5. Wait a moment – the badge should then appear in your collection

Important: know this before you upload

An import is a regular activity on your account – with everything that entails:

  • The activity counts towards your own statistics (distance, training status, possibly even personal records).
  • It syncs to connected services like Strava – the run will show up there too.
  • You can delete the activity after receiving the badge, but by then the sync to third-party services may already have happened.

Whether that's acceptable is entirely your call – we just provide the guide. 😉

You'll find all the other badges this month in our July overview.
